My husband and I both got the fish sandwich. It was 1 very thin fillet cut in half and we each got a half on our sandwhich. You couldn't even taste the fish. My daughter's got the "In House made Mac and cheese" kids meals and it looked and tasted like Kraft Mac and cheese. WAY overpriced for what they served us! The only reason they are getting a 2 and not a 1 is because of the cool decor and good drinks. Overall really disappointed and will not be back.
A+ for location on Round Lake and cool atmosphere. Everything else was hit or miss, which I'm hoping was new restaurant kinks that will smooth out with time. Our appetizers were great, specifically the giant homemade pretzel and the curds, though I thought the curds portion size was on the small side for the price. They have a nice beer selection, and the house cocktails we tried were good. Our entrees were all just okay, but we appreciated the availability of gluten-free options. Service was also fair, but we had one server who was obviously training, so this should improve too. We will be back to try it again, and hopefully I'll be able to give more stars.
Atmosphere is gorgeous, lawn games are fun. But that's the only positive in my experience. The server got our order wrong and didn't even offer to fix it. She just expected us to eat the wrong order. The food is too expensive for what you get, the service is slow. I know they are fairly new so I will try them one more time when I'm in the area again to see if they figured everything out
Good food, nice clean, modern atmosphere. The soft pretzels are the best! Staff are friendly and fairly attentive. I've had burgers and fish fry. Both were excellent.
Nice docks to tie up boats, cool decor inside, great yard games outside. Server was attentive to our patio table. Food was pretty good, not phenomenal but satisfactory. Not as good as the original Dave's, but it's a neat lakeside restaurant and dining experience.
