Staff were some of the best people I've met; they are very welcoming and make everyone who walks through the door apart of the family. I will go back and recommend it to everyone, families, couples, people who need a weekend somewhere nice. Go to boulder lodge!
A big plus was the hundred-year-old Lodge, which had a small bar and served a limited - though delicious (with unique specials) - menu of food. The Lodge is open Thursday through Sunday only when we were there and we would have liked extended hours (lunch) and other evenings, but we realized the owners were a bit short staffed.
Went there in May for the first time, great trip, Terry and Michelle are awesome! Think we may be making this our "up north" trip
The owners, Terry and Michelle, were very pleasant and accommodating. We popped into two of the three cabins they have for rent and they looked very quaint and cozy - a good option for non-tent/RV people.
Stayed a week and loved it. Great people Great fishing Great fun. Loved it. Was going to stay one night.
Besides being one of the very few RV resorts in the area, Boulder Lodge has some great potential. The RV and camping sites were spacious and nicely isolated, though perhaps a bit rustic. Overall, the resort was well-tended.
We assumed the Lodge wasn't open during the day, which is too bad as we would have liked to have spent time inside, just reading and getting away from the mosquitos (which, BTW, were the worst we have ever experienced).
Home away from home, without all the stresses of everyday life. Terry and Michelle are WONDERFUL -- you couldn't ask for a better host/hostess anywhere! The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. Food and hospitality in the lodge (bar/restaurant) is great. If you need help, just ask -- not only Terry and/or Michelle but the other residents. The lake is peaceful and there are so many things you can do at the resort as well as in the area. Check it out, it's AWESOME!
The resort had a lot of parkhomes, though we found those - and almost all of the camping sites - oddly empty, which is too bad. This is a great option for RVers looking to get away to northwest Wisconsin's backwoods. Hopefully more people will learn about the resort and frequent it, allowing the owners to continue to improve the property.
