We came across ROAM Adventure Basecamp from the CAMBA website. We actually were arriving the day before ROAM was officially open. I talked with Moe on the phone and he was excited to accommodate our group for the weekend. The facilities were still being worked on, but this campground was great! Great location with Seeley Pass right across the path! We were Mt Biking and were able to enjoy riding in and out of camp! Thanks Moe and ROAM Adventure Basecamp for the weekend. We'll be back!
Roam is the perfect nature get away. The close proximity to trails gives easy access for silent sports enthusiasts. The gorgeous cabins are spacious, light filled and allow for gear storage. We enjoyed a fun filled weekend with friends and had more than enough room to accommodate the four of us. Showers and toilets a huge bonus. Thank you Mo and Suzann for creating this concept camp site! #roamadventurebasecamp
This campground is hip, the owners are welcoming and hospitable. I cannot wait to return each year to see the progress Mo and his wife have made on the property. Next time I plan to reserve a cabin-love the more modern, industrial aesthetic-so original in the Northwoods! Wish they would open more campgrounds like this in Wisconsin!!
Fantastic camp ground with close access to the CAMBA trail system. Owners incredibly personable and accommodating. We tent camped this time. Options for both walk in and regular sites. We will try the cabins next year. THANKS
Finally a campground that caters to the silent sports enthusiast! My husband and I tent camped here for a weekend of mountain biking. We really liked how convenient ROAM is to the trails. The single track and ski trails can be accessed across the road from the campground. This made it easy to stop back for lunch at our campsite, and then head out on the trail again. Also, the camp host was super friendly and accommodating, which made our visit that much better. We're definitely coming back this winter to ski and stay in one of ROAM's heated cabins.
